Gaskets & packings
These are sealing elements used to maintain leak-tight service for gases and liquids.
Gaskets are installed at static mating surfaces (e.g., flanged pipe joints), whereas packing is used around dynamic sealing points such as reciprocating or rotating shafts.
- Suitable materials and profiles depend on the application, medium, pressure, and temperature.

Rubber Gaskets
Gaskets die‑cut from rubber into flange or ring shapes.
Applications
Used for low‑pressure flanges and unions. Rubber compound should be selected to suit the service environment and medium.
Joint Sheet Gaskets (compressed fiber sheet)
Flexible sheet gasket materials composed of fibers, fillers, and rubber, processed to the required shapes.
Applications
For high‑temperature piping and equipment where rubber is unsuitable.
PTFE Gaskets
Processed (e.g., die‑cut) from PTFE(fluororesin).
Applications
Excellent non‑contaminating and chemical‑resistant properties suit fine chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and general industry. Also usable as insulating gaskets.
Spiral‑Wound Gaskets
High‑performance semi‑metallic gaskets engineered for high‑temperature, high‑pressure service.
Applications
High resilience allows control of seating stress at installed thickness. Widely used in steam systems for thermal and nuclear power plants and turbine vessels, as well as process and heat‑transfer oil lines in refining and petrochemicals.
PF Gaskets / AV Packings
Integrally molded EPDM with rounded surface ribs for high sealing performance.
Applications
PTFE‑coated variants are available for enhanced corrosion and chemical resistance. Suitable for chemical plant lines, ultrapure‑water lines in semiconductor facilities, seawater lines in seafood processing, and wastewater treatment lines in food plants.
Rubber Extrusions
Long‑length rubber products formed by extruding compounds through a die and cooling. Available in many standard profiles—round cord, square cord, half‑round,P‑shape, a‑shape, U‑shape, etc. For non‑standard profiles, a die/tooling charge and minimum lot may apply.
Applications
Supplied in long lengths for on‑site cutting to the required size.
O‑Rings
Annular packings with a circular (O‑shaped) cross‑section, installed in a groove and compressed. They prevent leakage of diverse media such as oil, water, air, and gas.
Applications
Compact groove volume allows installation in tight spaces. Simple structure enables easy removal, and they seal effectively under alternating pressure from both sides.
Fabric Gaskets
High‑temperature gaskets made from glass cloth, biosoluble fibers, or fabric coated with rubber.
Applications
Used on combustion/exhaust gas ducts and on flanges with large warpage.
*Not fully gas‑tight—use only where minor leakage is permissible.
Three‑Sheet
Sheet‑type gasket material impregnated with a special viscous compound. When clamped between mating faces, the compound seeps to prevent leakage.
Applications
Used as oil‑service gaskets.
Gland Packing
Square‑section cord used for shaft sealing.
Applications
Prevents pressurized media from escaping to the outside on rotating shafts, reciprocating shafts (e.g.,plunger/piston pumps), and shafts with helical motion such as valve stems.
